Sundae Afternoon
A cute, comedic and heart-warming story about a father and son selling their various items at a garage sale. It loosely touches on the themes of great minds think alike, as the son imitates his father’s garage sale stand.

Sundae Afternoon was a 1st-year university group project, and we were tasked to tell the story in under 1 minute and 30 seconds. Lauren Hammersley was the director, Milo Bonnard was the producer, and Becky-Lulu Dartnell was the art director. I was the editor for this animation short; this included recording original sound effects, voice acting, masking, special effects, post-production lighting, organising, and sound editing.
The soundtrack was composed and performed by Milo Bonnard and Jachym Bouzek.
However, we all had creative contributions to the production, including puppet making, set design, lighting, camera shots, and pacing post-production and, of course, animation.
The film was awarded Best Animation at the Farnham Film Festival in 2019 and 2020 in the stop motion category for Most Heart-Warming Animation by International Student Animated Film Animafantasia Festival in Romania. The visual storytelling appealed internationally, and the film has travelled to festivals in London, Florida, Cefalù, Dewas, North Dakota, Killarney, Košice and Harrisburg as officially selected, finalist and honourable mentions.
